Transportation Funding: The Comic

Wonder why there's no polka in DOT?
Curious where the sugar is coming from when politicians invoke Ice Tea? (ISTEA)
Stumped by SAFETEA-LU? (I mean really, was "A Legacy for Users" actually necessary to make that name longer?)

Los Angeles' Dirty Little Secret-It's Anti-Bike Attitude, originally uploaded by folder fanatic.

Our government is really good at making things confusing. But you don't have to be a wonk to want to know where the money for roads and bridges comes from.

After too many martini-fueled conversations involving the words "Intermodal Surface Transportation" I was encouraged to put together a short comic book explaining the sources of transportation funding. Keep watching: it's due out this November 2009.
